All Aboard 2023's Choco Cruise!
This November, several of our chefs embarked on a fantasy journey on the high seas, bringing fine chocolate desserts and culinary education to those lucky enough to book passage on Costa Cruise's 2023 Choco Cruise.
The ship, the Costa Toscana, made stops in Genoa, Marseille, Barcelona, Cagliari, Naples, and Civitavecchia/Rome.
On board were chefs Alberto Simonato and Diego Poli of Chocolate Academy™ Milan, Philippe Bertrand of Chocolate Academy™ France, Chef Joël Perriard of Chocolate Academy™ Zurich, Chocolate Ambassador and Alexandre Bourdeaux, and Cacao Barry Lead Creative Chef Ramon Morato. Bacardi Cruise Brothers Giulio and Carlo Valdiserri were on hand to lead mixology workshops and concoct incredible chocolate cocktails for those aboard.
Chocolate Adventure on the High Seas!
Each day offered new learning opportunities and chocolate surprises - including a daily gelato selection! Both passengers and chefs alike had a wonderful time learning and sharing.
Guests had the opportunity to sample chocolate dishes at every meal and were able to attend workshops, demonstrations, and tastings with the Chocolate Academy and Costa Cruises Chefs. The programs focused on the specialities of the cities visited by the ship, allowing guests to get a sneak peek at their next port and learn a bit about the region's culinary history. Workshops included plated desserts, chocolate tablets, chocolate mousse, cookies, and many other incredible specialities from the chefs on board.
